Team Up – Stronger Together Through Turbulent Times
An IT service team at a large waste management company is at its limit. What's missing is not commitment, but energy, connection and a shared focus.

Digitalization, remote work and constant pressure have taken their toll: 75% of working time goes into project work, day-to-day operations fall behind. Sick leave is rising, turnover is increasing – and morale is tipping.
HBS Berlin was tasked with supporting the team through this challenging phase – with an approach that creates time, space and structure for genuine development.
A tailor-made concept for real change.
Together with the team leader, the "Team Up" concept was created: a tailor-made combination of team facilitation, coaching and peer collaboration.
From retrospective to sustainable development.
The kickoff was a teambuilding and strategy session, followed by a retrospective where key concerns were openly addressed. From this, peer groups emerged that collaborated regularly over twelve months – accompanied by HBS Berlin.
In these groups, employees found reflection, support and peer-level coaching. Transactional analysis models such as the egogram and the economy of strokes helped understand dynamics and consciously shape communication.
In parallel, the team leader also received individual coaching to effectively support the changes in everyday work, gain new perspectives and actively foster the team's development.
Collaboration that connects.
Trust, support and a shared vision forward.
Step by step, something was rebuilt that is often lost in everyday work: trust, mutual support and a shared vision forward.

Not just stabilization, but real development.
"Team Up" thus became not just a project for stabilizing a difficult situation, but a development process in which the team learned to remain capable of acting together even in turbulent times.
