International Project Management – Understanding Projects Globally. Shaping Collaboration in Practice.
International projects need more than schedules and tools. The seminar combines waterfall, Scrum and real project practice with the question of how international teams can collaborate successfully with German companies and implement projects effectively together.
Understanding projects. Shaping collaboration. Learning flexibly.
International project management rarely works by the book. Different cultures, communication styles, expectations and ways of working mean that projects in India, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Chile or Germany are often experienced and implemented very differently. That is precisely why the seminar is deliberately modular, flexible and strongly oriented toward the actual needs of the participants.
The focus is not on the perfect method – but on the question of what international project teams really need in order to work together successfully. The seminar provides a practical overview of classical waterfall approaches and agile methods such as Scrum. Depending on prior experience, target group and the dynamics in the room, individual topics can be flexibly deepened, adapted or spontaneously expanded.
Because it often only becomes apparent during the training which topics are really relevant for the participants: some groups need more structure, role clarity and project planning. Others want to better understand how agile collaboration works or how to deal with uncertainty, change and dynamics in everyday project work. The seminar responds to exactly that, flexibly and situationally.
Participants work with case examples, simulations, group exercises and reflection formats from real project worlds. This is not only about tools and processes, but also about communication, expectation management, trust and collaboration in international teams. Because projects rarely fail because of the project plan – but often because people communicate, understand responsibility or make decisions differently.
A particular focus is on collaboration with German companies and organizations. Participants reflect on typical expectations, communication styles and project logics in the German context and at the same time learn how international perspectives can be successfully integrated.
International Project Management thus becomes less of a rigid methods seminar – and more of a vibrant learning space for international collaboration, project thinking and real project reality.
Structuring projects. Understanding people. Collaborating internationally.
What Participants Take Away
International Project Management shows how projects are planned, managed and jointly implemented in the German and international context. Participants learn not only to understand German project management methodically – but also to experience the underlying way of working, communication and collaboration in practice.
