1:1 Coaching – Space for Honest Reflection and Personal Development

Sometimes development needs no further workshop, but an honest space to think, sort things out and move on. In 1:1 coaching, I support people with responsibility through changes, decisions, leadership questions and the moments when everyday life suddenly becomes more complex than expected.

How It Works

A Safe Space for Honest Reflection and Development

In 1:1 coaching, a safe space emerges for honest reflection, personal development and concrete change in everyday life. At the centre is always the coachee’s willingness to truly engage with themselves, their own topics and their own impact.

At the beginning, objectives and framework are agreed together – usually with the leader, HR business partner, coachee and coach. From this, an individual development process emerges that fits the person, the situation and the professional context.

In the coaching itself, everything that truly concerns people in positions of responsibility comes into play: leadership, communication, conflicts, decisions, change, self-leadership or the question of how to stay effective between responsibility, expectations and everyday life. Together, thoughts are sorted, patterns reflected upon and new perspectives developed – honestly, practically and directly transferable to everyday life.

Confidentiality is especially important here. What is discussed in coaching stays in coaching. Only in this way does the safe space emerge in which real reflection and personal development become possible. Interim results or directions of development can of course be reviewed and aligned together – but the personal conversation space remains protected.

Coaching can be a brief pit stop – or a longer development journey over many shared kilometres. What matters is not the duration, but the willingness to truly engage in development.

Stay human. Carry responsibility. Move on.

What Emerges on the Development Journey

Coaching usually begins with a simple, sometimes uncomfortable realisation: the beginning is you. Development happens where people are ready to look honestly at themselves, their own impact and their own patterns – because we can rarely change other people. Ourselves, more so.

With impulses from transactional analysis and concrete reflection for everyday life, coachees develop more clarity about communication, leadership and collaboration – and learn step by step to lead in a more coaching, conscious and effective way themselves.

Understand your own patterns, drivers and communication dynamics more consciously
Take responsibility for your own impact and leadership
Guide people more clearly, appreciatively and effectively
Shape difficult situations in a more reflective and calmer way
Develop a leadership culture based on trust, development and genuine communication
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

For people with responsibility who genuinely want to develop further – as a leader, team member or person. Especially for people who are ready not just to want to change others.

For example leadership, communication, conflicts, self-leadership, change, decision-making or entrenched patterns in everyday life. Often it is less about “the problem out there” – and more about the question: How do I actually deal with it?

Trust is the foundation of coaching. What is discussed in coaching stays in coaching. Only in this way does a space emerge for honest reflection and real development.

At the beginning, objectives and framework are agreed together – often jointly with the leader, HR and the coachee. After that, an individual process emerges with confidential 1:1 conversations, reflection and concrete work on one’s own topics.

Sometimes a single pit stop is enough. Sometimes a longer development journey emerges from it, over many shared kilometres. What matters is less the duration – and more the willingness to truly engage in development.
